Designed by Thomas Emmett, and built in 1825, Shrigley Hall was built as the family home for William Turner, MP. In 1929 Shrigley Hall and 262 acres of land were sold to the Salesians order who built a church now the Tilden Suite and ran the hall as a missionary college for boys.
