The hotel is designed in the Art Nouveau style and bears the name of the most famous Czech artist of the Art Nouveau era, graphic designer and painter Alfons Mucha. Art Nouveau is an international style of art, architecture and design, that peaked in popularity at the beginning of the 20th century1880-1914 and is characterized by highly-stylized, flowing, curvilinear designs often incorporating floral motifs.
